Your Legal Entity Data in the AI Era: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

On 23 September, Jameson Legal welcomed General Counsel and Company Secretaries to City Social for an evening exploring one of the most pressing questions facing in-house legal teams today: what happens to legal entity and shareholder management as AI reshapes how organisations handle their data.

Hosted in partnership with Corporify, the session was led by the Corporify founding team – Olivier Van Borsel (CEO), Andy Kellens (CTO) and Maarten Poulussen (CCO) – who brought both technical depth and practical, in-house experience to the discussion.

The evening moved through four key themes:

Where AI is heading next

The latest developments in APIs and emerging protocols like MCP, and the new possibilities they open up for connecting legal data with the AI tools teams already use

Why clean data matters more than ever

As AI agents take on more of the legwork, the session explored why data quality can no longer be an afterthought, and what happens when discrepancies surface across systems

The realities of system migration

A candid look at what it actually takes to consolidate entity data scattered across spreadsheets, PDFs, paper registers and legacy tools into a single source of truth.

Governance at scale

Practical questions for larger organisations to work through, from who owns entity data internally to how confidentiality and user permissions should evolve as more people gain access to it

True to the event’s title, the discussion didn’t shy away from the messier realities many in-house teams are navigating – engagement in the room was strong, with attendees bringing sharp questions and real-world perspectives that shaped much of the conversation.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us, and the Corporify team, for such a thoughtful and practical session. If you’d like to explore what better entity data management could look like for your organisation, Corporify are happy to talk it through.
