Fred was a true gentleman, liked and respected by everyone he worked with. He was the first recruiter hired by the company after Jeremy Small founded the company in 2010. Fred worked in the London office from 2010-2012 before relocating to Singapore, where he spent 8 years working successfully with Jameson Legal’s associate firm, focusing on private practice recruitment. He returned to London in 2020 rejoining the London office as Associate Director.
Fred enjoyed following Formula One and football, particularly his beloved Wimbledon AFC. He travelled extensively and enjoyed time with family and friends. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. He will be missed.

I knew Fred on and off for over 15 years. Fred was a very kind and a very professional person with a quiet, dry, sometimes roguish sense of humour. His general knowledge and of sports in particular, was awe inspiring.
At the very heart of it, is that he was a very generous and decent man. His sudden passing hurts tremendously.
It is with great sadness that I learnt of Fred’s passing today.
I had the pleasure of knowing Fred whilst at university with him and in the years that followed. He was kind, knowledgeable and good humoured.
I shall truly miss this dear friend I had in Fred.
I can’t say that I knew Fred well. Circumstances and geography meant that in the several years, over two spells, that I have worked at Jameson Legal, we only met in person on a handful of occasions.
Nonetheless, from those few face-to-face meetings and our other interactions over the years, what shone through was the sense of a gentleman, in so many senses of the word. I found Fred to be a completely decent bloke who, although quiet, had a sharp mind and a dry wit to match. Reading through the recent comments left on LinkedIn, by colleagues, friends, candidates and clients, certain words and sentiments are often repeated. Fred was kind. Fred was generous. Fred was considerate. Fred was polite. Fred was fun. Fred was funny. A gentle soul. A gentleman.
Those repetitions are testament to the man.
Like I say, I can’t say that I knew Fred well. I can say that I’d have very much liked to have had the chance to know him better. My heart goes out to all of his friends, family and to my colleagues, who will miss him dearly. Desperately sad. Rest in peace, mate.
Fred was one of the nicest people you could meet. He was kind, gentle, considerate, smart, and a force to be reckoned with when it came to our company quizzes. He also had the best dry sense of humour.
Fred was an avid football fan, but he knew I had zero interest in the sport – I’m far more into music, theatre, and the arts. Still, he was always happy to chat about the shows he had seen, share his thoughts, and ask what I had been to or was planning to see soon. He was also always on hand with an antihistamine for anyone struggling with hay fever, or a cough sweet for those in need in the office.
Fred was a constant. He was always there at company events, and I enjoyed putting the world to rights with him on our annual company Richmond-to-Kingston walk. It was always a pleasure to be in his company.
My thoughts are with Fred’s family and friends.

I had the privilege of working with Fred and we decided we wanted to watch the World Cup final and he popped a note to a few people but it ended up being a small crowd of 3-4 of us. We sat there for a few hours watching the game, having a few pints and chatting away – he was just a genuinely lovely bloke and will be sorely missed.
I lived with Fred for a few years at University in Keele & visited him abroad in his year out in France. We were due to see him this Friday 22 May for drinks and dinner. He will be missed terribly and our thoughts are with his family (who he adored).
Fred was such a lovely guy, and I am truly heartbroken that he is no longer with us.
The moment I met Fred we instantly connected over football, although we supported different teams, we both had the mutual love of the game, so it was always easy to talk to him about which manager would be sacked next or who was going to win a game at the weekend, and what players we would like to sign. Fred joined me and Jeremy at one of the Spurs Europa League games this season, and he was really impressed with our stadium, and I am pleased I got to share that experience with him.
Fred was a constant at all of the Jameson gatherings, and was always reliable to be one of the last standing along side myself on a night out.
He was a smart guy, his general knowledge was so impressive, and I always wanted to be on his team for our company quizzes.
Our company won’t be the same without Fred, we have lost a truly kind and caring person, but we will keep Fred’s memory close to our hearts.

It’s hard to put into words the sadness we feel at the loss of such a kind, warm, and truly lovely person. Fred brought light and positivity into every room, always smiling and offering nothing but wisdom and love to everyone he met.

I first met him back in 2012 before I joined Jameson and before he moved to Asia, he was very friendly and welcoming from that first meeting on and that never changed.
I will miss our chats about football, he was very knowledgeable about that and indeed about most things…everyone always wanted him on their quiz team.

I first met Fred in 2010, he was a quietly spoken person, but I felt he was someone I would enjoy working with and we got along straight away.
He was a genuine team player, always offering to help and never a person to seek credit. He was also known for his fantastic dry humour, and wry observations that others hadn’t spotted.
Fred flourished when he moved to Singapore, he was supposed to go for a 2 years years and ended up staying for 8! He probably would have stayed longer if COVID had not intervened. Fred was a highly intelligent guy, he was multi-lingual and interested in a whole range of subjects.
Most of all Fred was a kind and gentle person and someone I’m proud to call a friend. RIP Fred.
I met Fred when he returned to London in 2020. Although very much an English gentleman, he had an appreciation for Brazilian culture (and football) through his Brazilian father, and he always enjoyed chatting with me about it. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and had the privilege of working with — always polite and respectful, yet with a wonderful sense of humour. It was always a pleasure to be in his company. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. I was one of the lucky ones. Rest in peace, my friend.
