Tax Lawyer – Remote – ad-hoc consultancy

Are you a Tax Lawyer with upwards of 6 years’ PQE looking for a more refreshing and flexible way to work? Does the opportunity of being able to accept work that fits your capacity and other commitments strike an interest? Are you looking to work on an agile basis moving forwards?

If so, we would love to hear from you as I am working with an innovative client who will provide you with just that.

Our client is an entrepreneurial law firm who specialise in providing tailored legal advice to start ups, scale ups, SMEs and entrepreneurs. They offer a unique and flexible platform for mid to senior lawyers looking for high quality work that fits in around their capacity. They are currently looking for a Senior Tax Lawyer to join them on a flexible consultancy basis.

The beauty of working with this client is that you are not tied to the traditional rigidity of private practice hours or structures. Their consultants will be provided with the volume of work they have capacity for, whether that is 3 days a week through to 5 days a week. Consultants are also not required to be ‘in the office’. Consultants can work from home, wherever that may be, whilst still being part of the wider firm’s community. Consultants will be paid a competitive hourly rate for the work undertaken.

Whilst consultants will be working remotely, you will be working closely with Partners across the Corporate and Finance departments.

Typically, consultants will have trained or gained some experience from a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US or Top 20 Firm throughout their career.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Upwards of 6 years’ PQE as a Tax Lawyer and experience in handling a range of Tax matters.
  • Training or some experience gained from a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US or Top 20 firm.
  • Strong experience in handling a full caseload of corporate tax matters involving direct and indirect tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including asset transfers, financing, and corporate structuring and restructurings.
  • A genuine interest in providing legal advice to SMEs, Start Ups and Entrepreneurs.
  • A thirst for working in a refreshing and flexible manner.

Individuals looking to return to work from a career break are also encouraged to apply.
