A well-regarded US law firm is seeking a senior lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in technology transactions to join their London office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, and take on a leadership role in shaping the firm’s technology practice in London.
Our client is looking for an ambitious, senior person keen to build and grow the area within the firm. The role would sit under the firm’s corporate group, but the new hire would be the key technology transactions person for the London office.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP and technology-driven agreements and other complex commercial transactions, such as licensing, development, joint venture, and services agreements
- Advising clients on legal issues related to technology, including data privacy, cybersecurity, e-commerce, and intellectual property
- Advising on IP aspects of innovation and technology-driven corporate transactions
- Advising clients on major technology infrastructure and outsourcing projects
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and other key stakeholders in the technology industry
- Participating in business development activities, such as networking events and industry conferences, to expand the firm’s technology practice
Qualifications required:
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in technology transactions
- Experience in negotiating and drafting IP and technology-driven agreements, including software and intellectual property
- Strong business acumen and ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Experience managing junior lawyers and support staff
- Strong academic credentials
