Specialising in property matters – they currently have a requirement for a senior solicitor who has a depth of experience within litigation, focussing on property related debt matters.
This vacancy is specifically for the Commercial side of the business, and the firm hopes to attract someone who is ambitious, well-connected and keen to progress, as this role will provide a pathway to directorship in the short to mid-term.
Our client is a market leader in the provision of services to commercial property agents and owners requiring payment from their tenants.
Clients include: government departments, some of the UK’s largest private companies, professional firms; landed estates and HNWIs. Clients are based nationally.
The specialists in the team try to avoid litigation at all costs, by advising and preparing the client by understanding their needs. Therefore, it is important for this position to be filled by an experienced solicitor who has had regular dealings with such clients, and has the depth and understanding on how to deal with such matters promptly and as cost effectively as possible for their clients.
The goals are to achieve faith and trust from the clients, and to reach the best settlement terms as quickly as possible. Therefore, someone with previous experience in these matters is crucial.
Necessary requirements:
- UK qualified solicitor.
- Offering a minimum of 6 years’ high value debt collection/commercial litigation experience, ideally within property.
- Experience in high value debt collection.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience in fast track and multi-track matters.
- Experience in instructing counsel.
- Strong advisory skills are essential.
- Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Interest in business development.
