We are currently working with a leading international law firm, who are seeking a Projects Associate to join their highly regarded London team. The firm is recognised across the directories, and the Projects team is highly rated within both Chambers and Legal 500.
The Projects department often works on cross-departmental matters, working seamlessly with the Real Estate, Planning, Corporate, Banking, Tax, and Construction teams to advise on all Energy matters and projects.
This role will have a heavy focus advising on project matters relating to the energy sector. The successful candidate will be advising developers, landlords, and operators on District Heating schemes, Energy Performance Contracts, Power Purchase Agreements, and Heating Supply Agreements, providing support on regulatory and licensing issues relating to energy supply, and much more.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be England and Wales qualified and have 2-4 years’ PQE gained at a reputable Projects practice.
- Be experienced in advising on heat networks and renewable energy projects is desirable.
- Have experience of advising on power purchase arrangements and supply/generation licence requirements.
- Have a stellar academic background and stable career background.
