We are engaged in a search for experienced Project Finance Lawyers who would be interested in joining a well-regarded energy and utilities company in Saudi Arabia on a secondment contract. The contract is for an open-ended duration but is likely to run for a minimum of 6 months, potentially much longer, and will be based in Saudi Arabia.
The successful Project Finance Lawyer, who must be a fluent in Arabic, will be a vital member of the company’s legal team and can expect to be involved in drafting and negotiating loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, term sheets and mandate letters; drafting security documentation, deeds of release and opinions relating to the company’s financing transactions; drafting pitches and proposals for financing transactions and gaining exposure to corporate loans, acquisition finance, ECA backed facilities as well as trade and commodities finance relevant to the energy and utilities industry in Saudi Arabia.
Significant experience in handling project finance matters within the energy or utilities sector is essential. Exposure to working with clients within the Middle East and/or KSA is also vital.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a solicitor
- Upwards of 7 years’ PQE
- A wealth of experience in advising on an array of project finance transactions within the energy or utilities sector
- Exposure to working with clients in the Middle East and/or KSA
- Fluency in Arabic
- The ability to commit to a contract role on an ongoing basis, based in Saudi Arabia
