Our client’s market-leading professional disputes practice defends some of the most high profile and complex professional negligence claims in the world.
They are now looking for a senior insurance disputes lawyer with experience defending claims against financial institutions and their Directors and Officers. They act on disputes concerning complex investment products, hedging transactions and portfolio management, multimillion pound/dollar mis-selling claims and class actions. If you join them, you will advise brokers and insurers (as well as the insured) at some of the world’s largest financial institutions on high profile and complex professional indemnity matters, and a range of other insurance issues.
The team also advises on a wide range of coverage issues including in relation to D&O claims against institutional and retail banks, building societies, pension funds, split capital investment trusts, investment advisers, asset managers and hedge funds.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have:
- Strong academics and a genuine interest and aptitude for complex commercial insurance disputes and specifically coverage-related work;
- Training from a rated international or City firm in complex insurance disputes
- Ideally 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in defending coverage and FI/D&O claims, gained from within a similar environment.
