Patent Prosecution Associate – Austin

We are looking to speak with TX-licensed patent associate attorneys, registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, and with an engineering or computer science degree(s) to join our client’s active Intellectual Property practice in Austin.

This is an excellent Austin-based opportunity to devise IP protection strategies and manage domestic and international patent portfolios for companies and organizations ranging in size from modest to very large.

You will have the opportunity to represent major companies and start-ups regarding patent protection in such relevant technical areas of FoodTech, FinTech, cloud, computing, chemical, material science, computing software, semiconductor, artificial intelligence programs, machine learning programs, 5G software programs, IoT programs, industrial IoT programs, dynamic geofencing software programs, dynamic data model learning programs, blockchain coding programs, upstream oil field systems, electrical and electromechanical equipment, fracturing equipment and related systems.

This team prosecutes patent applications in virtually every area of science. Our client is skilled in guiding clients through the application process – from prior art searches to patent issuance – and experienced in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

By challenging pending applications and issued patents filed by competitors, our client helps clients preserve market share and freedom to operate.

You will join a team that develops and implements commercialization, cross-licensing, and defensive positioning plans to meet clients’ business objectives.

Our client’s Austin-based attorneys have a deep understanding of both specialized technology and the dynamics involved in both patent litigation and intellectual property licensing.
