Our client’s International Arbitration and Litigation Group is a market leader, with a stellar track-record of success in both Arbitration and Litigation mandates. The firm is now looking to hire a solicitor with between 3-5 years’ experience for the London team.
The Group is headquartered in London, although it has argued cases in all of the world’s major Arbitration centres and courts. The team is composed of English solicitors, solicitor-advocates and lawyers from several European jurisdictions. The International Litigation and Arbitration departments are not separated, which enables the group to provide clients with a singular team and strategy through the entire length of a dispute, whilst also broadening the experience which associates can obtain. Advocacy is routinely performed in arbitrations without external counsel.
In the commercial field, the team routinely represents major global corporations in cases concerning a variety of matters, from shareholders’ agreements and joint ventures, to supply and distribution contracts, EU state aid law and licensing contracts. The group is also known for its track record in handling high-profile Investor State arbitrations, representing both investor and sovereigns in landmark proceedings.
In litigation, lawyers advise on some of the largest cases in the English Courts, as well as in jurisdictions which follow English law and are subject to appeals to the Privy Council. Our client has one of the best global Dispute Resolution practices in the world and unrivalled capabilities managing disputes which require a coordinated strategy across multiple jurisdictions, often including the courts of USA, Germany, Hong Kong, CEE and other international forums.
