Our client is a major UK headquartered global law firm based in London, with an established and longstanding reputation in all the markets in which it operates.
The firm is technology-driven, and readily embraces the possibilities technology opens up for developing new and better ways of delivering legal services – as such the firm features a busy patent drafting, filing and prosecution practice, and also supports the firm’s Corporate and Litigation teams as required. The firm has a significant opposition practice before the EPO.
Joining a global law firm represents a unique opportunity for a patent attorney: the work you’ll be exposed to is some of the best in the market, challenging, high-profile, and serving an excellent client base including global pharma and biotech businesses as well as numerous SMEs and start-ups.
In order to be successful in your application, you will probably have a scientific background in biology and/or biochemistry. You’ll be a dual European/UK-qualified Patent Attorney, and have worked in some or all of:
- Biochemistry.
- Cell biology.
- Cell and gene therapy.
- Antibodies.
- Diagnostics.
- Nucleic acid.
- Peptide inventions.
In addition to your academic qualifications and professional experience, you’ll be highly motivated, organised, an excellent verbal and written communicator, and keen to be part of a close-knit and successful team within a very highly regarded global business firm. Your ambition and abilities will be rewarded with high profile, high-value, complex, and cutting edge work, a comprehensive remuneration package, along with exceptional ongoing career prospects.
