An international commodities company is actively recruiting a junior shipping lawyer to provide support to their busy trading desk in Singapore. Working closely with business leaders, you will manage disputes and be responsible for the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of various types of trading contracts. In addition, you will participate in legal projects and advise the management on compliance matters. Basic proficiency in Mandarin is essential, as you need to liaise with Chinese counterparts occasionally. Litigation experience would be advantageous and applicants from the oil & gas industry are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will possess:
- A recognized degree in Law and minimum 2 years’ PQE handling shipping litigation/trading matters.
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently.
