Learning and Development Manager

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development Manager!

A leading law firm in the West Midlands is looking for a seasoned candidate to join the team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will need to have a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience from the legal sector.

The Role:

  • Developing and delivering engaging training materials, both in-person and online, including presentations, workshops, e-learning modules and multimedia content.
  • Managing a comprehensive onboarding program for newly hired legal professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge required of the role.
  • Creating a continuous learning culture by developing and implementing initiative that encourage ongoing professional development and growth for lawyers and business services teams.
  • Conducting regular assessments to identify gaps and learning needs within the firm.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of training programs through assessment tools, feedback and evaluation metrics.
  • Collaborating with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all mandatory training related to legal ethics, client confidentiality, and regulatory requirements is up-to-date and well-delivered to a high standard.

To Qualify:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity within the legal sector.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Psychology or related field.
  • A solid understanding of the legal industry, its practices and skill sets required.
  • Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
