IT Project Manager

We have two very exciting IT Project Manager roles, working with a leading global Law Firm with their prestigious office headquartered in London. One role is for a fixed term of 12 months and the second is for a full time permanent Project Manager.

The IT team consists of around 50 employees and is expanding at a fast pace. As an IT Project Manager the purpose of this role will be to manage a number of day to day projects as may be required on an end to end basis.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading and directing project teams and resources to ensure timely delivery of projects facilitating business initiatives and managing risk to the firm
  • Ensuring the projects are delivered and run in such a way that meets industry best practice and follows the firm’s methodology within the PMO function
  • Managing internal and external project communications with all stakeholders (both business and technical)
  • Carrying out business change management activities
  • Creating and managing project plans and documentation using the project management tool
  • Conducting project presentations, run project board meetings and compile project status / highlight reports
  • Managing third parties and suppliers where appropriate
  • Pursuing the drive for quality and continuous improvement in project delivery, technology and processes
  • Liaising with the PMO and Team Managers in respect of resource requirements

To be considered for this role you will have the following:

  • Previous Legal or Law Firm experience is preferred
  • Experience of project methodologies, recognised project management certification an advantage
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent project and change management skills
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise conflicting demands
  • Self-motivated, well organised, with good time management
  • Proactive nature, hardworking, organised, able to structure own work and work independently when required
  • Aptitude for problem-solving
  • Professional, diplomatic, and tactful especially when in pressured situations
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external clients
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and follow direction
