We are working on an exciting International Trade role in Washington DC.
Our client’s International Trade and National Security Practice provides strategic and legal advice to companies, investment funds and financial institutions operating or investing across international borders.
The incoming associate will have significant experience in advising private equity sponsors, asset managers, and operating companies on addressing CFIUS considerations and risks across matter contexts and transaction types, including fund formation and design, transaction structuring, co-investments, joint ventures, license agreements, and exits. You will also advise frequently on CFIUS non-notified, enforcement, and penalty/settlement matters.
You will advise on issues involving the transnational flow of goods, software, technology and services, as well as investments in the United States and abroad. Specifically, you will counsel a variety of U.S., international and multinational companies, hedge funds, private equity funds, venture funds, Special Purpose Acquisition Companies, financial institutions, and investment advisers in matters concerning U.S. export controls, economic embargoes and sanctions, investment security reviews, supply chain security, customs, and trade remedies and other trade-related investigations, often in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other business transactions.
Annual salary range: $225,000 – $250,000
