Global Innovation Lead

Our client is an international law firm in London who have grown substantially, and have had year on year growth thanks to their strategy and focus on core areas of their practice and the culture that has been built.

They are looking to appoint a Global Innovation Lead, reporting to the Managing Partner and senior leadership team, to spearhead the firm’s innovation and efficiency efforts by creating a strategic roadmap.

Duties include: 

  • Refining and implementing the global innovation strategy, to drive service delivery excellence and the highest possible efficiency to achieve improved profitability across the global firm.
  • Proactively driving innovation from the idea through the business case to piloting, adoption and roll-out.
  • Leading and overseeing the identification and successful implementation of new processes, innovative practices and, together with the IT Director, legal technology solutions.
  • Building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders across the firm and external Partners.
  • Establishing and overseeing the governance to evaluate and selecting appropriate innovation projects based on their potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Developing organisational change management capability that enables the firm to successfully adopt new ways of working.
  • Being responsible for the business case for future investment, and monitor and track the progress of innovation initiatives.
  • Analysing and mitigating potential risks and challenges associated with implementing new technologies and innovative practices.

You must have:

  • 12 years+ experience of initiating ideas and projects, and driving these to achieve successful change with legal teams to spearhead the innovation strategy (can be from professional services background).
  • A track record of delivering tangible process and technological improvements that yield measurable returns on investment in a complex environment.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Hands-on experience delivering process improvement projects and change and transformation programmes.
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver plans, whilst being sensitive of the needs of the business and mindful of the value of incremental change.
