Our client, a City practice, is receiving an increasing level of client demands within their Data Privacy practice, and is accordingly looking to bring on an experienced and dedicated specialist to lead the team in London, either a Partner or Legal Director.
The successful candidate will have a keen drive for business development, and will look to bring in new clients in the Data Protection sphere. It would be advantageous to have experience of Data Privacy litigation, particularly Group litigation.
Highlights of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Advising on data breaches and cyber incident responses, including reporting to and liaising with the ICO, marshalling cyber security experts, and developing incident response strategies.
- Supporting the firm’s High Court litigation team on Data Privacy issues surrounding confidential information and injunctions etc.
- Dealing with enquiries from large corporate clients and SMEs.
- Advising on data subject access requests, and drafting and responding to other data subject rights under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
