Our client, a global law firm known for its down-to-earth culture, is looking for a junior Associate to join its busy, growing energy regulatory team in Houston.
The team in Houston advises clients on compliance with federal, state, and local energy regulations and represents clients in administrative proceedings before regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the Texas Railroad Commission, and the Public Utility Commission of Texas. The team assists with the development and implementation of energy projects, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals. The team also provides guidance on energy-related transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and financing deals.
This position affords significant client interaction, and requires a high level of responsibility within a team-oriented environment. This is a great opportunity for a real estate attorney interested in joining a vibrant practice within one of the world’s premier global law firms. You will have the opportunity to work in a friendly, down-to-earth environment with no hierarchy, with some of the best lawyers in the world in the space. The team is truly a lovely, tight-knit team and there is an opportunity to go all the way.
The team is unique in the way it truly works across different offices, including London. The Partner structure is one to be commended; the way it is structured means that everyone is incentivised to collaborate. Partnership is something that is encouraged, and you will be guided throughout the process. That being said, if that’s not for you, you will be supported to do something else – whether that be going in-house or taking on another Senior role within the firm.
Candidates must be qualified in Texas.
