Family Partner – Birmingham

Our client is a top 150 national law firm with strategically located offices across the Midlands. They pride themselves on their established ongoing success and reputation of excellence.  They build longstanding relationships, servicing generations of clients who return continually for trusted bespoke legal advice.

Currently our client is looking to appoint a Partner to join their Private Wealth practice in the Birmingham office, focusing on Private Family matters, such as divorce and financial matters.  The successful candidate will be able to bring with them expertise, an understanding of the local Midlands market, along with contacts and a proven track record in building and guiding a department, whilst being able to fee earn and attract new business to the firm.  With a commercial mind – you will optimise business by referring your client to other departments within the business confidently and smoothly, giving the client end to end legal support.

This is a new appointment which will work alongside the newly appointed heads of Private Client and Contentious Probate, making this opportunity all the more exciting.

The firm operate very closely with one another – ensuring that they continue to be seen as trusted advisors to clients and colleagues alike, developing longstanding relationships with both clients and departmental teams.

Key attributes:

  • A UK/Wales qualified Solicitor
  • Minimum of 8 years’ PQE (although those with less, who can support their application with their knowledge and track record are warmly invited to apply)
  • Strong legal expertise in all matters focused on private family matters dealing with divorce and finances etc.
  • Training and previous career within a reputable national family team
  • Management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to bring out the best in people
  • Strong at business development
  • Able to build a team
  • Cross selling to other key departments within the firm
  • Well networked
