We are working closely with an international energy service business, who are looking to engage with a senior-level energy trading Lawyer on a 6-month contract basis in London.
This is an incredibly exciting role, where successful candidates will be expected to work on a wide array of stimulating projects including the drafting and negotiation of energy trading (ISDAs) and supply agreements, power purchase agreements, electricity and gas supply contracts, and financially settled derivatives. Other responsibilities include dealing with regulatory compliance such as FCA compliance, grid operators and energy regulators.
The successful candidate will report to the MD in London, Head of Legal & Chief Head of compliance.
In order to be considered, candidates should be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales with a current Practising Certificate
- 3-7 PQE in handling energy trading renewables matters
- Experience in regulatory compliance
- A solid background within Private Practice and/or In-House
- The ability to start immediately or at short notice
