Employment Lawyer – 6-month contract

We are currently working with a highly regarded and well-established law firm based in Buckinghamshire. They are looking to hire an Employment Lawyer on a 6-month contract. This role has come up as a team member will be on maternity leave from January 2024, when the contract is due to start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert legal advice to clients in England and Wales on a wide range of matters.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support clients’ cases and projects.
  • Drafting legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court submissions.
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, by delivering exceptional service and communication.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Staying updated on changes in legislation and legal best practices relevant to the firm’s areas of practice.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a valid practising certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm.
  • Experience including TUPE, restructures, employee relations, changing terms and conditions, IR35 etc.
  • Strong knowledge of English and Welsh law across various practice areas.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal services to clients.
