An innovative role within a global accounting firms risk consultancy business has been created to aid clients increase profits and reduce reputational and financial risks. As the use of digital assets and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) are becoming increasingly relevant in the financial services industry, they are looking to recruit a talented Director who can front their new go to market propositions and lead delivery of engagements. As market participants evaluate adoption and implementation, the business plans to support clients across the range of financial crime issues they face in AML, sanctions, anti-bribery, corruption, and fraud. They are seeking someone with experience managing issues such as fraud, regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing multiple digital asset financial crime and forensic engagements across key clients
- Working with the key stakeholders across the firm to develop their go to market strategy.
- Supporting business development across key market propositions and sectors (e.g., Custodians, Sell-Side & Buy-Side firms, Crypto native firms).
- Managing the risk and commercial aspects involved in the delivery of projects including budgets, planning and project governance.
- Driving business development in the market, building a pipeline of work, identifying potential opportunities and executing.
- Lead on developing crypto client proposals.
Essential requirements:
- A financial crime SME with broad coverage of financial crime domains.
- A strong understanding of the financial crime frameworks and related considerations of large financial institutions & intermediaries.
- Demonstrated capability and experience in working across digital assets and DLT within financial services.
- A proven record of delivering large scale projects.
- Demonstrable sales skills and experience, including creating new ideas to expand a team’s market offering and leading sales pitches to generate new work.
- Experience managing teams of consultants and across a range of client engagements.
- Positive leadership qualities and style that empowers and motivates team members.
- Confidence to influence stakeholders and able to quickly establish credibility with clients.
- Ability to identify and exploit commercial sales opportunities and support colleagues in defining solutions in response.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills, with an inspirational and collaborate style.
