Their multi-jurisdictional team of tax lawyers offers clients unrivalled expertise across several specialist fields including insurance, investment funds, energy, outsourcing, asset management, real estate, corporate rescue and restructuring finance.
The team advises many of the world’s pre-eminent companies, organisations, and investment banks on a wide range of direct and indirect tax issues in contentious and non-contentious environments. They are able to draw upon the expertise of tax lawyers across their international network to apply domestic and foreign tax advice as applicable to transactions and disputes.
Due to continued demand for their services, the team are now looking for an additional junior tax lawyer. In this role you will advise on the taxation of M&A transactions with an emphasis on cross border deals, corporate restructuring, energy taxation (including upstream work), equity and debt capital markets, finance, UK real estate, projects, funds and private equity. Your responsibilities will vary depending on your level of qualification and experience; when you’re ready your ability and enthusiasm will be rewarded with responsibility early
In order to be considered you will have:
- A strong academic background;
- Most likely 1-2 years’ post-qualification experience of corporate tax law, probably gained at an international firm.
- Strong foundation legal skills, including drafting, negotiation and project management skills; people management and business development skills.
- You will also need to be a bright self-starter looking for a challenge, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels
