This highly regarded and leading law firm is seeking a senior associate with ideally 6+ years’ PQE to work remotely on a 12-month FTC within their Band 1 ranked corporate transactional team. The team advises some of the largest national and international companies based in the UK, and is held in high regard by its clients and praised for their service delivery and commercial focus. The team work on a range of corporate transactions, such as M&A, private equity, venture capital, and corporate governance/restructuring projects within the manufacturing, automotive, real estate, insurance and TMT sectors. Experience providing similar advice to clients within these sectors would be of interest.
The successful senior associate will take a lead role on a wide range of corporate transactional and advisory mandates. Further responsibilities of the job include:
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Contributing to business development
- Coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team
- Contributing to thought leadership and raising the profile of the firm externally
- Providing pragmatic and innovative client solutions
The ideal corporate senior associate must have a good knowledge of corporate transactional work and ideally 6+ years’ PQE. They should be able to work with a degree of independence whilst simultaneously being able to support the team when required. Exceptional drafting and legal research skills are a must, as well as strong financial, commercial and business awareness. An ability to contribute/participate in client pitches as well as taking ownership will also be highly valuable.
It is also likely that the successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor within England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia or New Zealand, for example) and have gained their post qualified experience within a leading International, City or West End firm. The client is also very interested in hearing from candidates with recognised Regional law firm experience.
