Our client, a forward-thinking vibrant and specialist construction and property law city-based boutique law firm based in London, are looking for solicitors with experience in construction law and dealing with non-contentious matters for an ongoing fixed-term contract.
This role has an emphasis on non-contentious work, although there will be opportunities to do dispute work. You will be responsible for advising on procurement methods, contract drafting, amending and various ad hoc contractual issues, focusing on JCT and NEC contracts.
They are looking for a highly experienced construction lawyer who is an expert in the field and possesses excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should have at least 8 years’+ PQE as a non-contentious construction lawyer, and possess a detailed understanding of construction and engineering contracts, such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, and Logic. Experience in drafting warranties, appointments, novations, bonds, and development agreements, as well as a deep understanding of the construction supply chain, are also required.
In addition to the legal skills mentioned above, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are highly valued.
