Our client is a renowned global dispute resolution powerhouse. They have recently gone through a significant recruitment process, and although they were looking for a more general range of candidates, they have now focussed the search to junior mid-level (ideally 1-4 PQE) Associates with premium backgrounds, and experience working on disputes across:
- Competition
- Construction
- International arbitration
The firm’s lawyers represent clients (both as claimants and defendants), in leading and high-profile cases in the English Courts and other jurisdictions, the so-called ‘mega-trials’. As well as litigating cases to judgment, they are also expert at resolving claims through alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration. The firm also has a strong track record of representing clients in the defence of investigations by national authorities, as well as the European Commission in respect of Competition cases (including sector inquiries), as well as managing internal investigations into competition law.
In order to be considered for a position at this prestigious firm:
- You will have an exceptional academic record from a top flight university, and almost certainly have trained in a Magic Circle, Top 10 English firm or the London office of a “White Shoe” premium US firm.
- You will have gained probably 1-4 years’ high quality post-qualification experience in competition or construction disputes, or international arbitration.
High quality candidates from top tier firms in Australia or New Zealand, in particular those with the BCL or Cantab LLM are encouraged to apply. Also, pupil barristers at top rank chambers electing to join a firm instead of chambers may also be of interest.
This is a fantastic opportunity for high quality disputes lawyers to join a global powerhouse. The firm offers exceptional salaries and hefty bonus scheme.
The ideal candidate will be England & Wales or New Zealand/Australian qualified lawyer with 2-5 years’ PQE. An LLM from a highly ranked university would be well regarded.
