Jameson Legal is working on an excellent opportunity for our City client, which is seeking a mid-level associate with two to five years of international trade (export controls, sanctions, customs, free trade agreements, foreign investment, anti-dumping and/or WTO) experience to join a team which is recognised as one of the leading international trade law teams in UK.
On offer is a broad spectrum of work and the successful candidate will be involved in and have a focus on international trade, as well as the opportunity to work on anti-bribery and corruption and product regulatory matters. This role would suit someone who, in addition to the technical skills, has the ability to drive the business forwards and to develop strong client relationships.
The joining associate will advise clients on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on customs, export controls and sanctions work, but with the opportunity to be involved in anti-dumping, WTO, product regulatory, anti-bribery, corruption and foreign investment matters.
Associates work in a collegiate environment for a range of partners and can expect a good variety of work. You will have regular and direct contact with clients, with a culture based on associates being given the level of responsibility for which they are ready, rather than a PQE-based method of work allocation.
You will also assist with the supervision of more junior lawyers’ work and will take an active part in sharing knowledge and experience with the team. There are regular opportunities for secondments with clients. Posting to other offices under the firm’s associate transfer programme is also a possibility.
