An exciting role has become available for a junior lawyer to join our clients Commercial Property team at a top tier law firm in Reading.
A full range of property services are offered by the team for a variety of clients, both nationally and internationally. In addition to supporting the Firm’s Corporate and Insolvency teams, the commercial property team advise on a variety of matters. These matters include general commercial property transactions, development, planning, secured lending, residential conveyancing, and construction. You will support the commercial property team on freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management for occupiers and landlords, new lease and lease renewals.
For this role, it is preferred that you will have experience and knowledge in a range of areas such as acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold commercial property. In addition to this, you should understand the management of properties including licences to assign, underlet or carry out alterations and drafting and negotiating contracts and transfers. Knowledge of drafting and negotiating commercial leases and ancillary documents, as well as secured lending, is also preferred.
To be considered for this role, you will have 1-4 years’ PQE with the willingness to represent the team and the Firm to the business community and support the development of the teams client base. You will be expected to have the ability to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and work effectively, both independently and effectively. Having ambition and self-motivation is key, as well as strong academic achievement.
