Our instructing client is a high-profile City firm, looking to grow and develop its Commercial team with the addition of a new junior lawyer. This is a very new role which very few recruiters are currently aware of, so this exciting opportunity must remain confidential.
The reputable Commercial Team has a range of interesting clients, mainly mid-sized enterprises as well as start-ups and large multinationals across a large selection of industries, including tech, media, sports, fintech, manufacturing and fashion. This provides a huge variety of work for the Commercial team; the day to day drafting of commercial contracts will vary from franchise agreements, IP licences, R & D agreements, IT agreements, outsourcing agreements and many more.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with between 1 and 4 years’ post-qualification experience in a London or very strong regional firm;
- Be able to demonstrate a high level of technical competence in commercial law, while combining this with creative thinking to work around client problems innovatively;
- Demonstrate an interest and willingness to engage in business development.
