Our well-established client is looking to offer an experienced Commercial Associate the opportunity to join their growing and ambitious team in their Bristol office.
The team work on a variety of general commercial matters with a focus on the retail and consumer sector, working with household names as well as highly successful regional and national businesses. The team also works closely with their well respected Corporate team to support with M&A transactions. There will be the opportunity to supervise and support junior lawyers and trainees whilst advising clients on their strategies and documentation with regard to supply chains, online trading, brand protection and consumer relations.
This role will provide the chance to gain hands on experience and give support to General Counsels and their teams, as well as working alongside their client’s in-house legal functions advising directly to the business stakeholders. Our client is also offering secondment opportunities at all levels within their Commercial team.
In order to be considered for this role, you will have 3+ years’ PQE and you will be looking to enhance your skills and knowledge whilst working alongside a supportive team with high quality clients. Having already gained experience in the commercial field, you will be able to work independently with clients and demonstrate a positive and strategic approach to finding effective solutions.
You will be expected to support junior lawyers and trainees throughout your work by delegating and supervising tasks to ensure the work is completed to a high standard as you focus on more challenging matters. Having the drive to consistently develop your own skills with clients, understanding the context of their business and gaining confidence in providing relevant advice will support the creation of long-lasting relationships. This will therefore create business development opportunities to enhance your personal profile as well as the firm’s. Strong communication and teamwork are also very important for our client. In addition to this, personal motivation is also desired.
