Business Intelligence Developer

A leading law firm with over 1000 people worldwide with headquarters in London, and 8 offices across Asia, Europe and the Middle East, are continuing with their rapid growth, and are now looking for an BI Developer.

Purpose of the role:

As the BI Developer you will work closely with business stakeholders and the technology team to deliver BI activities firm-wide. The role includes BI software development, BI solution deployment and maintenance, data architecture, reports dashboard, and implementation of BI innovation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding business needs and transform requirements into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards, visual reports, trend analysis, comparative analysis.
  • Sourcing and prepare data for BI reporting and analysis, applying BI tools and techniques to provide easily understandable insights.
  • Developing, designing, and analysing data architecture and on-prem and cloud data warehouses.
  • Contribute to the business intelligence and data analytics roadmap planning for continuous improvement and process evolution.
  • Working on key internal systems (PMS, CRM, HR System, DMS) to provide technical BI solutions for the firms reporting requirements.
  • Building and maintain integrations between systems, including workflow models.
  • Identifying opportunities to digitise and streamline operational data handling and optimise business intelligence capabilities.

Attributes/Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Microsoft PowerBI in an agile environment using agile practices.
  • Expert level in using SQL Server and T-SQL (DDL and DML) in troubleshooting query performance, constructing tables, normalization techniques on database tables.
  • Expert in creating and using stored Procedures, views, user defined functions.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of data design, data modeling, data management, and data visualization.
  • Ability to respond quickly to requests, manage time effectively, work under pressure, and prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Desirable experience in workflow development, Windows Workflow Foundation and Intapp Flow development.
  • Must have experience of building KPIs and insightful business data dashboards from multiple systems in a professional services environment.

This role is hybrid and based in London, with a 2 days WFH and 3 days in office.
